Cercacor Introducing Android Version of Ember App

20-percent discount on Ember Sport Premium offered through Dec. 21.

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA (December 13, 2017): Cercacor, makers of Ember® – the world’s first non-invasive hemoglobin tracker for endurance athletes – announced it has launched an Android version of its Ember app. Now, users of Android-enabled phones and tablets can purchase Ember and download the new, free app to their devices. Through December 21, Cercacor is also offering a 20% discount on both the Android and iOS versions of Ember Sport Premium – lowering the price from $699 to $560.

“We know there are many Android users who want Ember,” stated Cercacor’s Founder & CEO Joe Kiani. “We’re making this streamlined, Android version of the app available to athletes and trainers now, which offers the most commonly used features of our iOS version.”

How Ember Works:

Ember enables users to non-invasively measure certain physical parameters generally in less than one minute without drawing blood. A comprehensive tool that aids in training and recovery assessment, Ember is the only consumer device that provides athletes and their trainers such a wide breadth of data, so quickly and with just one non-invasive optical sensor.

When Martinez won the bronze medal in the 800 meters at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow in 2013 (PR 1:57.91), she became the first American woman to ever place in the top three in this event at the world championships. (Martinez may be upgraded to silver, instead, pending the final appeal and adjudication of a suspended athlete.)

Users download the Ember app to their (Android or iOS) smartphone or tablet, which then connects to the Ember device via Bluetooth. Athletes and trainers use the app to view, build a historic record, and segment and track their collective data. Users can instantly share their data with coaches, fellow athletes or friends by email, SMS and social media. Ember is available on Cercacor’s website www.cercacor.com and via Amazon.

Android app’s current features:

  • Measure and record all SEVEN parameters: hemoglobin, oxygen saturation, oxygen content, pleth variability index, perfusion index, pulse rate and respiration rate.
  • Smart gauge display (allows you to compare your immediate measurement with your 30-day running average)
  • Activity tracking/flagging.
  • Trend graph.
  • Results table (historical view of all measurements).
  • Send data/file to coach.
